Fernando G. Guerrero – President, Board of Directors
Fernando G. Guerrero is a co-founder of SolidQ, elected as its first CEO, and now serving as President of the Board.
Fernando graduated as a Civil Engineer, Polytechnic Universities of Valencia and Madrid, and followed post-graduate courses in Business Administration at different business schools and universities. He holds over 30 years of professional experience in architecture, design, and development of IT systems, very often as part of high-end international engineering projects. He is a recognized speaker at many international Conferences about Microsoft technologies.
Fernando has been a Microsoft Regional Director for Spain since 2004, holding several Microsoft certifications, and received the MVP award for SQL Server from 2000 to 2007. Fernando is also involved in voluntary work around IP Protection and support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), collaborating with public institutions and universities from Spain and the European Union, such as his role as member of the Board of Directors of ACT (Association for Competitive Technology).
Antonio Soto – Corporate COO
Antonio Soto is Corporate Chief Operations Officer at SolidQ and a Mentor. Antonio has been involved with databases since 1994, and he works as a trainer and consultant on SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies. Antonio writes articles for various technical magazines, and is a regular speaker at IT conferences in Spain. He is MCDBA, MCSE, MCAD and MCT.
Douglas McDowell – Corporate CTO
Douglas serves as Corporate Chief Technical Officer for SolidQ. He recently concluded a seven-year tenure as CEO for North America, and before that acted in a technical management consultant spanning most industries. He is a Microsoft Data Platform (was SQL Server) Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and serves on the Microsoft’s Partner Advisory Council for Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics (BIAAPAC). He holds an MBA from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business, a Masters of Information Technology, as well as undergraduate degrees in Communications and Culinary Arts.
Douglas completed his MBA at Penn State’s Smeal College of Business and also holds a Masters of Information Technology and a degree in Culinary Arts. As a people-centric professional, Douglas believes in the value and potential of individuals and what they are capable of achieving, as well as what groups of individuals can accomplish together.
His passion is to help others realize their value and potential by empowering them through technology. Douglas is a passionate speaker about the value of BI and Analytics realized through successful architectures and implementations.
Christian Rise – Managing Director, Nordic Region
Main responsibility as Managing Director of SolidQ Nordic as well as Global Director of SolidQ Flex Services.
More than 20 years’ experience within the IT business, within a broad range of IT companies with responsibility covering technical solutions, sales, management and strategy. Graduated in management from Aalborg business institute. Today the main focus is on specialized solutions to outsourcing strategies and building business models.
Within his first year of 2013 at SolidQ, he transformed the strategy of working as an hourly-based consulting company to provide consulting and services at fixed prices based on value and subscription. A proactive focus and approach to what gives value to our clients in the future. The development from at consulting company to a service organization allows SolidQ to focus on our clients and develop products and services that impact Business.
Herbert Albert – Managing Director – Central & Eastern Europe Region
Herbert Albert is a Mentor and Managing Directorbof SolidQ’s Central and Eastern Europe subsidiary. Since SQL Server 6.0 Albert worked as a consultant, a database developer and trainer and holds several Microsoft certifications including MCT. He was involved in the development of several Microsoft Official Curriculum courses. Herbert co-authored “SQL Server Upgrade Technical Reference Guide” for SQL Server 2008 and 2012 and the Microsoft Press book “SQL Server 2005 Step-by-Step Applied Techniques”. He is a regular speaker at international conferences and events. As a trainer Herbert is focused on courses for T-SQL programming and performance tuning, which he delivers successfully all over Europe.
